Shaded tent spaces approximately 15 ft x 15 ft with 8 ft height are available for tent campers. This space is included in your Mission Contribution. Tents are not provided. If your tent plus stakes and tie-downs exceeds this area, shade may not be guaranteed. Campers must submit tent dimensions before the Burn to ensure shade placement. Each tent space includes one extension cord with 5-amp power. Personal generators are not allowed. Only 2026 Rootpile camp members may stay in the tent camping area.

No. Cars cannot park in the shaded tent area for safety reasons. Car camping is considered vehicle/RV camping instead.

Yes. For cars, small trucks, and SUVs under 18 ft $100 contribution If you car camp without shade, there is no fee.

Yes, but space is limited and requires an additional contribution: Vehicles over 30 ft must have at least two occupants. Only Rootpile members may use RV or vehicle camping areas. RVs are not provided, but camp may help connect you with an outside RV vendor.

No. Pull vehicles and extra vehicles must be parked in the Rootpile parking area, unless special arrangements are made in advance.

Yes. You can flag down a septic pump truck. Bring cash for pump out service payment. Pricing can vary but is around $100 to $150 for RV pump out. RV must be parked where septic truck can easily drive through camp and reach the RV.
